Air cooled chiller is one of the cold water models, the room temperature water through the chiller compressor to a certain temperature to strengthen the cooling mold or machine, as a single use, the cooling device for the built-in fan, there are three interrelated systems: refrigerant circulation system, water circulation system, electrical automatic control system.


Unit Characteristics

Air-cooled chillers can be used in small systems, and most of the large units are water-cooled. The initial investment of water cooling in terms of the host is a little less than that of air cooling. But with the cooling tower and the machine room \ electronic water treatment device, there is no place to go! In addition, in terms of long-term operation, the refrigeration efficiency of water-cooled units will relatively decrease, and air-cooled units will not.


The air-cooled chiller adopts the air cooling method, eliminating the cooling tower, cooling pump and pipeline system necessary for the cooling water system, avoiding the scaling of the condenser and the blockage of the water pipe in the area of poor water quality, and saving water resources. It is the most economical and simple machine for maintenance and maintenance of cold water air-conditioning equipment products.


The one-time investment of the air-cooled chiller is slightly higher than that of the water-cooled chiller, but the annual operating cost is lower than that of the water-cooled chiller, the construction cost of the machine room is the least in various air conditioning cold and heat source systems, and the maintenance cost is about half of the cost of the water-cooled or boiler.


The noise and volume of air-cooled chiller is larger than that of water-cooled chiller and can only be installed outdoors. Water cooling units are mostly installed in underground rooms.


Product features of air cooled chiller:

4. The whole machine has a box-type shell structure, beautiful appearance and compact structure. The operation of the unit can be checked at any time; the unit can have its own water tank and circulating water pump according to the cooling capacity, without the need for cooling towers and cooling water pumps, and the installation and maintenance are simple and convenient;


Refrigeration principle

Air-cooled chillers and water-cooled chillers are used for outdoor installation and operation. An air cooler is directly cooled by air being mechanically circulated through the machine's condensing coil, which directly expels heat from the atmospheric air. Coolers are similar except they implement water mist in the condenser coil to aid in condenser cooling, making the coolers more efficient than traditional air coolers. There are no remote cooling towers typically required with these types of packaged cooling air or chillers.


The refrigeration principle of water-cooled indirect cooling in the electroplating industry:

The water in the bottom basin of the cooling tower is transported to the condenser of the chiller through a water pump to cool the condenser. When it flows back into the cooling tower and sprays down, the water is cooled by the fan on the top of the cooling tower, and then flows back to the bottom basin of the cooling tower, and the cycle continues like this. The condenser dissipates heat while the refrigerant inside is liquefied, and then flows into the evaporator in the water tank for evaporation. During evaporation, heat is absorbed, thus cooling the water in the water tank. The cooled water is transported to the heat exchanger (middle) through a water pump. Separate the water on one side and the sulfuric acid on the other), and then cool down the sulfuric acid through the process of heat transfer. It is such a cyclic process. The advantage of this product is that it is easy to install, its service life is relatively longer than that of direct freezing, and it is not easy for acid and alkali to corrode the chiller.


The principle of water-cooled direct cooling refrigeration:

The water in the bottom basin of the cooling tower is transported to the condenser of the chiller through a water pump to cool the condenser, and then flows back into the cooling tower and sprays down. The water is cooled by the fan on the top of the cooling tower and then flows back to the bottom of the cooling tower. The basin keeps running like this over and over again. The condenser dissipates heat while the refrigerant inside is liquefied, and then flows into the evaporator for evaporation. During evaporation, heat is absorbed, thus cooling the sulfuric acid (bath liquid) in the evaporator. The cooled sulfuric acid is transported to the electroplating (oxidation process) through a water pump. ) slot, it’s such a cyclical process.


Direct freezing and indirect freezing of chillers have the same effect, but it is obvious that direct freezing chillers are not as safe as indirect freezing chillers, and the former equipment is prone to corrosion and has a shorter lifespan. The price of direct refrigeration equipment has a slight advantage, but when compared with the service life of the two, the indirect refrigeration chiller is longer than the direct refrigeration chiller. From this, the value of the indirect refrigeration chiller can be calculated. This is also one of the development trends of environmentally friendly and energy-saving chillers.


Application areas

Air-cooled chillers are mainly used to cool the heating components of equipment to ensure normal operation of the equipment at a constant temperature. Air-cooled chillers are suitable for high-speed spindles, electric spindles, CNC machine tools, coordinate boring machines, grinders, machining centers, laser marking machines, laser engraving machines, laser welding machines, laser inkjet printers, laser cutting machines and other equipment.


The air-cooled chiller has a compact structure, small size and is easy to move. It has two working modes: constant temperature and intelligent temperature control. The intelligent temperature control mode can be adjusted to the corresponding water temperature as the temperature changes.
